Job Description
Job Title: Director - Pharmacy
Job Description:
The Director of Pharmacy will oversee the innovative pharmacy services. This leadership role requires extensive experience and knowledge in pharmacy operations including managing pharmacy staff and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will promote best practices within the pharmacy while working collaboratively with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pharmacy operations ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regulations and standards related to pharmacy operations.
- Oversee pharmacy budgets plans and staffing levels while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Provide guidance and leadership to pharmacy staff facilitating professional development and training.
- Collaborate with medical staff and healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient care.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy workflow and enhance patient safety.
- Monitor inventory management and control processes to ensure consistent availability of medications.
- Establish and maintain effective interdisciplinary relationships to improve patient outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current (or eligible) New Mexico Pharmacist license required.
- A minimum of five years of healthcare experience with at least two years in a leadership role.
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.
Desired Experience:
- Advanced degrees (MS Pharm D MBA) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
- Annual Salary Range: $110000 - $160000
