Job Description

Our Client :

Leading rubber & plastic manufacturing


Role : Lab Technician Rubber Products Manufacturing

Education: Diploma / . in Chemistry Polymer Science Rubber Technology or related

field

Location: Chennai

Experience Required: 1 to 3 Years

Industry Preferred: Rubber


Key Responsibility:

Assist in conducting physical mechanical and chemical testing of rubber raw

materials and finished products.

Perform standard laboratory tests such as:

Mooney viscosity

Rheometer (cure characteristics)

Tensile strength & elongation

Hardness (Shore A/D)

Specific gravity

Compression set aging abrasion etc.

Record and maintain accurate test results and data logs.

Support in compound development trials and batch validation tests.

Prepare samples and test slabs as per ASTM / ISO standards.

Ensure calibration and routine maintenance of lab equipment.

Follow safety protocols and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory environment.

Report any abnormalities in test results to the R&D/QC team


Key Skills

Basic knowledge of rubber material properties and testing techniques.

Hands-on experience with rubber lab instruments.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Ability to follow SOPs and test procedures.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to work in a factory lab environment
