Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a semi formal residence located in Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. Rooms to be cleaned alternate each day. This position is part-time 24 hours per week live-out. Work hours are generally between 9am 5pm with some flexibility required.
Candidate Profile:
You are an experienced and knowledgeable housekeeping professional with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You know how to handle and care for high-end finishes furnishings. You communicate well and are comfortable working independently. You understand a home is a living environment not just a workplace and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily housekeeping to include making beds dusting vacuuming kitchen and bathroom cleaning
Care of fine furnishings fixtures fabrics finishes and surfaces
Maintain household inventory of cleaning supplies letting the House Manager know if products need to be replaced
Regular laundry with occasional ironing etc.
Trash and recycling management
Weekly clean of the interior around the pool
Weekly clean of patio furniture during the summer months
Wardrobe management
Ensure household security protocols are followed
Answering the door receive packages
Sort and dispose of recycling compost and garbage correctly
Applicant Qualities:
Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation
Detail oriented
Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds
Excellent housekeeping laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always exercising diplomacy discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
