Job Description
Red Gate Group is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston VA or Ft. Belvoir VA. As a DevOps Engineer you will be building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and containerization including deploying with Helm and managing GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux. You should be comfortable developing and supporting custom applications in production automating infrastructure with tools like Ansible or Puppet and working in infrastructure-as-code environments. Strong knowledge of container networking monitoring storage and security is essential.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience building and supporting DevOps tools and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- 3 years of experience with containerization building images and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes
- 2 years of experience managing tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux including writing custom Helm charts and with automation tools such as Ansible Puppet or Chef
- Experience developing custom applications and supporting them in a production environment
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments including activities around the automated server or network configurations large-scale software deployments or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD
- Knowledge of container networking monitoring and storage solutions
- Knowledge of container security technologies and evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelors degree
- Ability to obtain a Security CE SSCP CCNA-Security or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date
Desired Qualigications:
- Experience developing in Java or Python
- Experience with Prometheus Grafana or ElasticSearch Kibana and FluentD
- Experience with the design deployment and management of Cloud environments including AWS or Azure
- Experience using or migrating CI/CD pipeline solutions or tools including Jenkins Git or TeamCity
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols including JSON REST and XML
- Experience with scripting in Bash PowerShell Python Groovy or Ruby and leveraging JSON YAML or XML for configuration
- Knowledge of cloud and virtualization-based technologies including Docker Azure AWS or VMware
- Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
- Knowledge of foundational system administration principles
- Kubernetes Certification
