The Role:
The Room Attendant will be responsible for cleaning re-stocking and maintaining hotel guestrooms and suites ensuring guest comfort safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service.
- Services assigned rooms according to departmental specifications within allotted time.
- Documents room status on assignment sheets.
- Greets guests passing in corridors establishing eye contact.
- Ensures that equipment in guestrooms is operational TV remote control phones lights etc.
- Uses cleaning chemicals as instructed.
- Uses safety equipment as required.
- Communicates all maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Executes Daily Cleaning Projects.
- Secures master keys while working.
- Collects/secures lost-and-found articles.
- Restocks housekeeping cart daily.
- Controls inventory of supplies.
- Makes suggestions for improvements in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction revenues as well as reducing costs.
- Establishes and maintains close working relationships with all employees to ensure maximum cooperation productivity morale and guest service.
- Resolves guest issues.
- Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- High energy level.
- Good judgment and common sense.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Constantly use physical movements necessary for general office duties: standing walking balancing eye-hand coordination finger dexterity handling wrist motion sitting reaching carrying vision hearing stooping and twisting.
- Constantly plan follow directions read write use math discriminate colors work at various tempos or work rapidly concentrate remember attention to and observe details use of ten key and personal computer.
- Constantly use mental alertness to achieve high level of accuracy in completing tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Mostly indoors and generally climate-controlled environment
- Will be exposed to noise smoke and odors
- Working with others and independently
License Requirements:
Must secure appropriate RI mandated gaming license
