A majority of your day will be spent in the community with families helping them to navigate the behavioral and cognitive challenges their children face. Collaborate with other members of the clients interdisciplinary team such as social workers. Schedule and conduct intake meetings. Perform assessments on clients and write detailed behavior assessments and support plans tailored to each childs unique needs. Your role will also involve training Behavior Technicians in best practices empowering them with the tools necessary for success.
As a leader of a small team of Behavior Technicians youll oversee their work ensuring the behavior plans you crafted are implemented effectively.
Occasionally you may be called upon for evening or weekend events adding variety to your week. Each day will present new challenges and opportunities to innovate ensuring that no two days are ever the same!
To thrive as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Chiledas Shine Community Services youll need a unique blend of skills and qualifications that set you up for success. A Masters degree in a behavioral science is essential along with dual licensing as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). Your expertise in behavioral strategies will be crucial in developing effective intervention plans.
Experience matters! A minimum of two years working with individuals who face developmental disabilities autism spectrum disorder or attachment challenges is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills will help you connect with clients and their families while a compassionate and innovative mindset will empower you to think outside the box.
