Job Description

We are seeking an Energy Category Manager position based in our Pozna location to join the Energy Team.

Your future team:

You will join a small team of three responsible for securing all the energy our company uses. The team handles complex long-term legally intensive contracts. The scope covers a wide energy portfolio including but not limited to carbon products oxygen power gas biogas and related energy certificates. A part of ROCKWOOLs green power approach is reached through power purchase agreements and knowledge about PPAs will be beneficial.

What you will be doing:

  • Daily monitoring of energy and gas market developments using available platforms (e.g. Eikon) and market reports
  • Participation in bi-weekly and monthly market knowledge-sharing meetings with suppliers and consultancy partners
  • Summarizing and regularly disseminating the latest energy market information to ROCKWOOL stakeholders including creating and circulating update presentations after each meeting
  • Preparation and updating of various PowerPoint presentations related to energy market developments both on a regular basis and upon specific request
  • Collaborating with the Category Director to actively develop energy strategy within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Launching tenders for selected products within the category (e.g. power gas oxygen) as required
  • Conducting negotiations and finalizing contract terms independently or with the support of the Category Director
  • Participating in both in-person and online meetings with suppliers to measure performance and support supplier relationship management
  • Providing guidance and support to colleagues from other teams on category-related topics
  • Gathering insights and exploring new business opportunities for ROCKWOOL with a current focus on the biogas market; acting as the contact person and project member for biogas-related initiatives across all operating companies (OPCOs)
  • Performing comprehensive TYCE (budgeting) pricing calculations on both weekly and quarterly basis to ensure data is current and aligned with OPCO reporting in collaboration with the Senior Manager
  • Maintaining regular contact with OPCO controlling departments and business analysts to monitor expenditure consumption and data accuracy
  • Supporting team members in building category knowledge for oxygen across all stages of category management
  • Utilizing the 1source system for contract uploads and supplier qualification processes
  • Managing invoices within the area of responsibility using Alusta/Basware systems
  • Actively maintaining and updating SharePoint with documentation such as price calculations and sustainability records
  • Attending relevant industry conferences as required

What you bring:

  • Written and spoken English language skills on a high professional business level
  • Previous experience with energy markets
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Team-work attitude
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30 days per year
