Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing the retail commercial stream projects and associated releases for software or other types of products. This includes planning scheduling coordinating and managing inhouse and 3rd party integration projects and releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various teams (Entain and third parties) to facilitate the planning scheduling and implementation of integration projects and releases.
- Develop and implement release processes and tools that are consistent with software development and deployment best practices.
- Actively participate in quarterly planning to create release train for upcoming quarter to meet product expectations and regularly align with agile releases.
- 3rd party projects planning tracking and reporting; and operationalize and conduct regular 3rd party reviews to ensure timely delivery and drive performance.
- Work with engineering managers and product owners development and testing teams to identify and manage risks that could affect release scope schedule and quality.
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews Go/No-Go Release Retrospectives
- Collaborate closely with squad and acceptance teams for regression cycles and to adapt schedule to specific scope requirements.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations.
- Produce Deployment Run Books and Implementation Plans.
- Liaise with L2 and RISMs for arranging support pre and post release deployments including ensuring distribution of software to the whole estate
- Ensure production incidents are planned into releases and documentation is up to date
- Support release deployments out of office hours when required
- Support the squad model to facilitate frequent releases
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role in software development.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles.
- Familiarity with software configuration management processes.
- Exceptional communication project management and leadership skills.
- Experience with release management tools (like Jenkins Jira etc.).
- Experience in continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Attention to detail problem-solving abilities and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Certifications in Agile methodologies (like Certified Scrum Master).
- Experience in DevOps practices.
