Job Description
Title:
Associate Logistics ClerkWe are looking for a dedicated Logistics Clerk to join our team. Under supervision you will coordinate all daily inbound and outbound shipments of materials for day-to-day operations of a KBR facility. You must be extremely organized and able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Experience with quality logistics techniques preferred.
- Clerical/physical tasks in connection with shipping goods. Including verifying that orders are accurately filled ensuring that shipments are properly packaged.
- Loading shipments in transport vehicles and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped.
- Verify the correctness of incoming shipments.
- Ensure that goods are appropriately identified for routing to various departments and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
- Locates and moves materials and parts between multiple work areas of the facility using cart or hand truck to expedite processing of goods according to pre-determined schedules and priorities and keeps related records.
- Possess a solid knowledge of MS Office and personal computers Ensure Company procedures and policies are followed.
- Perform manual tasks which may include lifting 50 lbs. or more.
- Monitor shipping supply inventory
Required Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED certificate associate degree preferred.
- Must be able to multitask and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Costpoint system
- Proficient in laser cutting profiles. Experience with 40-Watt Zing laser preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with Shipping via Fed Ex UPS & various freight carriers (such as CEVA ABF Fed Ex Freight)
- Experience with HazMat procedures and inventory practices.
- Minimum 1 year experience as logistics clerk.
- U.S. Citizen
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with quality logistics techniques preferred.
