Were excited to meet you at our Lifeguard Hiring Event! Important information below on this event:
Location: Adventure Island Tampa 10001 Mckinley Dr Tampa FL 33612
Time: 11:00am - 4:00pm
Date: Friday July 11th 2025
What to Expect at the Event:
- Schedule your interview for the event (must be at least 18 years old)
- You will be sent a parking pass and entry to the park for your interview and swim test
- Meet with a Recruiter to Interview for the position - this takes approximately 15 minutes
- Once interview is approved you will perform your prerequisite swim test
- Instructor will inform you of your results
- If Pass offer and onboarding steps will take place on site
- If Fail you will have option to reschedule for a 2nd attempt of the swim test OR can be considered for a different position
Aquatic Attraction Guard:$14.50 per hour with Summer Incentive ($13.00 per hour base plus $1.50 more when you work 30 hours or more in the pay week)
Incentive Pay effective June 26th 2025-August 13th 2025.
Lifeguard:$16.50 per hour with Summer Incentive ($15.25 per hour base plus $1.25 more when you work 30 hours or more in the pay week)

What you get to do:
- Interact with guests while implementing park safety guidelines
- Monitor all park waterways and respond to guests in distress
- Maintain the cleanliness of your area
- Participate in American Red Cross and company audit processes
- Attend in-service meetings and cross-train to work in other park areas
- Practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
What it takes to succeed:
- Must successfully pass pre-requisite Swim Test
- Must successfully pass the company provided and paid American Red Cross CPR/AED
- You must pass regular swim tests and in-service/safety audits
- You must be comfortable in and around water
- You must be able to work varied schedules including nights weekends and holidays
