Were looking for a Software Engineer Embedded Open XR to join the Snap Lab team at Snap Inc!
What youll do:
You will design develop test deploy maintain and enhance software solutions for Spectacles family of AR devices
Design develop and optimize software solutions utilizing OpenXR and WebXR technologies in both prototype and shipping consumer products
Ability to optimize large frameworks on a Performance Memory and a Power/Thermal constraint device is a plus
Participate in design reviews code review with peers and stakeholders to create reliable solutions
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with browser engine development and optimizations (eg: Webkit Chromium)
Good understanding of Operating System concept (Linux/Android) data structures and familiarity with computer system architecture and Performance tradeoffs
Software development process skills including: source control bug tracking and design documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and software debugging skills
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of post-Bachelors software development experience; or Masters degree in a technical field 1 year of post-grad software development experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field
Proficiency programming in C or C
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field such as computer science or electrical engineering

Compensation
In the United States work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $157000-$235000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
