Description

Position Summary:

The Mentoring Program Coordinator Student Worker plays a vital role in the ongoing success and smooth operation of the Asbury Legacy Mentoring Program which pairs students with alumni mentors for vocational and spiritual formation. This role supports the Director of Career and Calling by providing logistical administrative and communications support throughout the semester. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for mentors and student
participants manages matching and tracking processes and helps shape a meaningful and professional mentoring experience for all involved.

Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as the main contact for all inquiries related to the Asbury Legacy Mentoring Program.
  2. Provide direct project support to the Director of Career and Calling in the administration and improvement of the mentoring program.
  3. Manage the matching process between students and alumni mentors including intake form organization and data entry.
  4. Schedule and facilitate orientation sessions and midpoint/final check-ins for mentoring pairs.
  5. Maintain regular communication with mentors and mentees throughout the semester.
  6. Track engagement and survey feedback and help generate reports for program evaluation.
  7. Assist in planning and promoting Legacy Mentoring events trainings and follow-ups.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A firm commitment to the Asbury Seminary Mission and Ethos Statement.
  • Personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong relational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
  • Ability to self-start prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Friendly approachable and eager to foster meaningful student-alumni connections.
  • Computer proficiency; familiarity with spreadsheets forms and email platforms.
  • Previous experience with mentoring (as mentor or mentee) is a plus.
