Job Description

Objective
The ATF Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all activities involving frearms comply with
federal state and local regulations. This includes maintaining accurate records facilitating audits and
liaising with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to ensure adherence to licensing
and operational requirements.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with ATF regulations including proper maintenance of Federal Firearms Licenses (FFL).
Monitor and track expiration dates for FFLs and initiate renewals at least 90 days before expiration.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of frearm transactions acquisitions and dispositions.
Conduct periodic internal audits to verify compliance with ATF and company policies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for ATF inspections audits and inquiries.
Train employees on frearm laws regulations and company policies regarding frearms sales transfers and
storage.
Investigate and report any compliance violations discrepancies or security concerns.
Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
Stay informed of any updates or changes to ATF regulations and adjust policies accordingly.
Work closely with legal counsel and management to address any regulatory issues.


Qualification Requirements
Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Business Administration or a related field (preferred but not required).
Prior experience in compliance law enforcement regulatory affairs or firearms industry operations.
In-depth knowledge of ATF regulations firearm laws and record-keeping requirements.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and training abilities.
Ability to work independently and handle sensitive regulatory matters.
Proficiency in record-keeping systems and ATF eForms.


Physical Demands
Office and warehouse environment with occasional travel for audits or inspections.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally for record-keeping purposes.
Compliance with all safety and security protocols related to frearms handling.
