Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Medical Assistant/Scheduler to join our Pain Management team. This role offers a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities. On procedure days responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms reviewing and completing intake paperwork preparing patients for procedures assisting with injections setting up ultrasound equipment monitoring patients before during and after procedures and providing education and discharge instructions. You will also help with room turnover cleaning and stocking. When not assisting with procedural clinic you will focus on coordinating and scheduling pain management procedures. This includes verifying insurance collaborating with our pre-certification team to obtain prior authorizations as required requesting medical clearances from primary care providers and specialists communicating messages between patients and providers responding to patient inquiries as instructed by providers and answering incoming calls related to pain management. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a Medical Assistant/Scheduler you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management procedure assistance and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from a Medical Assistant program and active certification or at least three years of experience in a related role is preferred. Previous appointment scheduling experience in a medical office is preferred. A successful candidate will have familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems medical terminology and strong customer service skills. The ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals wear lead protection for 4 to 6 hours at a time and travel locally to other ORA clinic locations as scheduled.

The pay range displayed for this position represents the pay range for all positions that are classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on a wide range of factors such as candidate skills experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and alignment with company benchmarks.
