Job Title: Network Administrator
Location:Richmond Virginia
Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required. Must pass enhanced background screening (criminal financial drug) for Public Trust clearance.
Position Summary:
Seeking a skilled Network Administrator to support and lead the implementation of specialized business and technical IT solutions. This role requires flexibility for off-hours weekend and on-call work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents.
- Resolve network issues and ensure business continuity.
- Participate in day/evening shift rotations and on-call support.
- Implement preventative measures to reduce future incidents.
- Audit network devices for compliance with policies and guidelines.
- Manage network changes following change management protocols.
- Install upgrade and maintain network components.
- Document processes per ITIL standards.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with:
- F5 LTM load balancers
- Checkpoint and Juniper firewalls
- Cisco IOS routers and Nexus OS switches
- Advanced knowledge of protocols: OSPF EIGRP HSRP VLAN TCP/IP
- Troubleshooting across desktops servers networks and firewalls
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience (10 years)
- Excellent documentation communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in remote matrixed teams
