About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a highly respected and long-established insurance brokerage in Harrogate. Known for delivering tailored insurance solutions and exceptional client service this firm is seeking a confident client-focused Commercial Broker to join their growing team. Youll play a central role in maintaining and developing strong client relationships advising on a broad range of commercial risks and supporting new business acquisition across a diverse portfolio. This is the ideal next step for an ambitious broker who thrives in a professional but friendly environment and is keen to add real value.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of commercial clients across sectors including property retail construction manufacturing and more.
- Provide expert advice on a range of commercial insurance products including Property Liability Motor Fleet PI and D&O.
- Handle renewals mid-term adjustments new business quotations and placement with insurers.
- Liaise with underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and cover.
- Support Account Executives with pre-renewal preparation and new business development.
- Ensure compliance with FCA and internal policies at all times.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling cross-selling and adding value to clients.
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience in commercial broking (minimum 23 years).
- Solid knowledge of the commercial insurance market and products.
- Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high standard of accuracy in documentation.
- Comfortable negotiating with insurers and confident in decision-making.
- Cert CII or working towards is highly desirable.
