Accounts Assistant Hereford Permanent up to 27000
Job Summary
We are looking for an accounts assistant to join our established team
Main Responsibilities
- Sales invoices on a monthly basis
- Pay cheques into bank accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Monitor income and produce aged debtor reports
- Bookkeeping for clients
- Process approved supplier invoices onto accounting systems
- Raise cheques and preparing dual control BACS payments to suppliers
- Payroll for employees
- Prepare VAT returns (including Partial Exemption)
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and reporting cash flow v actual
- Prepare financial reports for clients
- Prepare annual accounts information for accountants.
Personal Profile
- AAT 2 or 3 qualified (will also look at QBE)
- Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
- Understand payroll
- Understand VAT and experience of VAT returns
- Experience of accounting packages
- Competent IT user Excel Word e-mail
- Good time management - meet tight deadlines and manage competing demands
- Absolute confidentiality
- Good mixer and team player
- Good communication skills - including a confident telephone manner
