Job Summary:
Bristol Health is looking for Security Officers to join our Security team! The Security Officer will take a proactive role in addressing situations related to the safety and security of patients staff and visitors while making appropriate notifications to Security Leadership Nursing Supervisor and when appropriate local law enforcement and Bristol Health Executive Leadership. Adheres to all policies and procedures and ensures safety controls are administered in a calm and professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: One (1) year experience in security field or law enforcement field required (Healthcare Preferred)
State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:
Cognitive Requirements:
Bristol Health Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Similar programs deemed appropriate by management.
Physical Requirements:
Significant walking. Manual dexterity and the ability to perform a full range of body movements. Vision corrected to comply with State of CT drivers license standards. Capable of hearing and verbally communicating.Must be willing and able to successfully complete a WorkFit evaluation.
Work Environment:
Normal patient care environment. Exposure to varied outdoor elements. Occasional exposure to patient elements. Stress related to confrontational interactions with patients and visitors.
