Job Description

This Middle School Science position will be considered a .75 Middle School Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science education to students in grades 6-8. This role involves creating a supportive learning environment developing lesson plans and fostering a passion for scientific inquiry among students. Addititonally within this role the teacher must also be able to implement differentiated instructional strategies formatively assess student progress communicate effectively with parents/guardians and provide guidance to ensure success in the and Responsibilities:Implement new science curriculum that meets state standards;Prepare and deliver interactive lessons that promote student engagement and understanding;Formatively and Summatively assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes tests and projects;Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students;Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment for hands-on experiments;Manage classroom behaviors;Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress; andParticipate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues.
