About The Role:
Are you passionate about strengthening Kaurna and other First Nations voices and embedding cultural knowledge within local government We are looking for a dedicated First Nations Engagement Leader to drive meaningful engagement and inform reconciliation initiatives across the City of Charles Sturt.
In this role you will lead initiatives that create culturally safe spaces align with the National Agreement on Closing the Gap and build strong partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Your work will help shape a more inclusive and connected community where First Nations culture is recognised valued and celebrated.

About Our Team:
Our Community Wellbeing team is dedicated to community development reconciliation diversity equity and inclusion. Through a strengths-based approach we work collaboratively to support cultural learning advocate for First Nations representation and strengthen relationships between Council and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a part-time (0.8 FTE) 12 month fixed-term basis and is classified at Level 6 with a salary range of $108727 to $115956 per annum (pro-rata) Super Annual Leave Loading.
A current unprohibited Working with Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check(Police check) must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
This role is designated for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants as authorised under Section 56(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA).
