Job Description

BDS QMS Internal Auditor

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Internal Quality Auditor to join the Quality Team.

Note: This position requires the ability to travel frequently to Boeing sites as scheduled.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal QMS audits in accordance with the applicable QMS standard(s) and internal requirements.
  • Develops and manages audit plans and schedules.
  • Conducts risk analysis to determine audit focus areas.
  • Support and advise site management on preparation for third party audits.
  • Performs benchmarking of enterprise best-practices.
  • Reviews of complex proposals contracts regulatory program and customer requirements ensuring they are effectively implemented in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Advises leadership on development of business strategies that influence directives and policies.
  • Advises multi-function groups on development of processes procedures and metrics to assure program contract customer regulatory statutory and AS9100 requirements are deployed.
  • Consults in high level reviews of corrective actions at the site enterprise and customer level to assure that trends or systemic issues are identified and advises on development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Conducts research compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
  • Represents the Company on industry working groups to develop industry standards for quality as needed.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in leading or managing project and teams
  • 5 years of experience with AS9100 AS9110 or AS9120 Quality Management Systems
  • 5 years of experience in quality auditing

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ideal Candidate has successfully completed an industry recognized aerospace auditor training.) (Note: this will be required within 3 months of employment if selected)
  • Bachelors degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives customers stakeholders peers and business partners
  • 5 years of knowledge with technical experience in an aerospace environment

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master13 years related work experience 19 years related work experience etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Travel:

Travel will be required up to 40% of the time. Travel will typically be to Boeing sites located in the contiguous United States. Occasional International travel may be required.

This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
