Job Description
Ravenswood is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydneys North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking an experienced Chinese Language Teacher to teach students in Stages 36 including the Higher School Certificate and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
This is a permanent position and is scheduled to commence at the beginning of Term 4 2025. An earlier start date may be negotiated depending on the availability of the preferred applicant
To be successful in this position you will:
- Be an effective classroom teacher with an excellent understanding of the relevant Language curriculum and pedagogy;
- Have experience teaching Chinese across Years 512 (preferred) or demonstrate a willingness to teach across these stages;
- Be knowledgeable in the effective use of ICT to deliver language courses;
- Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom; and
- Demonstrate a commitment to the co-curricular and wellbeing programs of the school.
