Position Overview:
St. Joseph Catholic School Vancouver is seeking a part-time Middle School Math Support Teacher to provide focused small-group instruction for students in grades 68. The ideal candidate will support students in building foundational math skills deepening their understanding of grade-level content and gaining confidence in their mathematical abilities. This role is an important part of our commitment to academic excellence and student growth within a Catholic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide small group instruction in math aligned with grade-level standards for 6th 7th and 8th grades.

Collaborate with classroom teacher to identify students in need of support and develop appropriate instructional plans.

Address key math concepts including ratios expressions and equations geometry integers pre-algebra and algebra readiness.

Use assessment data and teacher feedback to inform instruction and monitor student progress.

Maintain regular communication with teachers and school leadership about student performance.

Foster a supportive and respectful learning environment consistent with the mission and values of Catholic education.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in education mathematics or a related field required.

Teaching certificate (Washington State or reciprocal) preferred.

Experience working with middle school students and differentiated instruction strategies.

Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills.

Willingness to support the Catholic mission of the school.

Schedule & Compensation:

Part-time: 1520 hours per week

Hourly compensation $20-22/hour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications. This position is not benefits eligible.

Schedule to be determined in coordination with school leadership
