Are you passionate about your community and interested in sustainable transportation options like transit carpooling vanpooling or biking As part of the new Georgia Commute Options pilot program Toole Design Group in Atlanta Georgia is looking to hire Transportation Ambassadors to help others discover sustainable ways to get around Metro Atlanta. This is an in-person part-time hourly position with an expected end date of January 31 2026.


About the Program:

The Georgia Commute Options (GCO) community-led pilot initiative aimed at expanding employment opportunities enhancing economic mobility and empowering individuals to have greater control over their transportation choices. Transportation Ambassadors will play a key role by helping participants overcome barriers to using sustainable transportation options introducing them to the variety of travel modes available in the region and showing how they can earn rewards for choosing these options through the GCO program.


Ambassadors will take a hands-on personalized approachtesting routes exploring transportation modes and using trip-planning tools alongside their clients. The goal is to ease the transition for new users of sustainable transportation modes by providing practical experience and guidance. Using empathy Ambassadors will support participants as they adjust to new commuting routines.


Typical Job Duties

  • One-on-one route planning and practice trips using different transportation modes
  • Tabling community events
  • Community education sessions
  • MyGCO training and demonstrations

Compensation & Time Commitment

  • $20/hour
  • Initial 30-hour paid training period (scheduled for September)
  • An average of 4-10 hours per week (flexible self-scheduled based on outreach events one-on-one appointments and team check-ins)
  • This is a grant funded position with an ending date of January 31 2026
