Were hiring an Account Manager Growth Accounts to join our dynamic Growth Team. This role manages a portfolio of approximately 135 medium-to-large organizations across industries including tech insurance education and public interest.

The Growth Account Manager is responsible for retention cross-sell and upsell across their book of business. This role requires strong prioritization skills and the ability to move fluidly between efficient transactional work and consultative selling with high-value or at-risk accounts.

This role is critical to POLITICOs growth engine. Our Growth Account Managers help ensure our clients stay informed empowered and engagedand they play a pivotal role in helping our business scale impact.

Who You Are:

  • Builder and executor of plans focused on retention cross-sell and upsell across your book of business
  • Strong communicator who can adapt to both fast-moving transactions and longer-cycle conversations
  • Adept at managing a high-volume book while identifying where to slow down and go deep
  • Naturally curious about your clients work and how to support it
  • Organized detail-oriented and confident juggling competing priorities
  • Collaborative and coachableyoure looking to grow not just deliver

What Youll Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of 135 accounts across a range of industries
  • Drive renewals and account growth through proactive outreach consultative conversations and cross-sell opportunities
  • Balance transactional efficiency with deeper engagement where risk or opportunity warrants
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholdersprimarily in government affairs public policy or public affairs functions
  • Identify opportunities to expand usage across departments or introduce new products (e.g. E&E News Agency IQ)
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success Sales Enablement Product and Marketing to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Maintain detailed client notes and pipeline updates in Salesforce
  • Meet and exceed individual renewal and growth goals

What Youll Need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a quota-carrying role
  • A proven track record growing accounts through renewals upsell and cross-sell
  • Experience successfully working cross-functionally with a Customer Success team to deliver client outcomes
  • High business and sales acumen
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
