Jefferson Health is seeking an experienced Academic Colorectal Surgeon to join our high-volume collaborative team. This faculty position offers a blend of clinical care teaching and research at a nationally recognized academic medical center.
Opportunity Overview:
- Join a high-volume colorectal surgery and endoscopy practice with a well-established team of 3 surgeons and 1 nurse practitioner.
- Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) focused practice strict laparoscopic robotic and TAMIS
- MIS operative suites with access to 9 Robots Xi Dual-console robots and Single-site at main campus
- Close collaboration with Gastroenterology (including advanced-GI) as well as multiple regional Gastroenterologists throughout Jeffersons Health system
- Participation in General Surgery resident education
- Participation in Colorectal Surgery fellowship program
- Weekly colorectal tumor board/educational conference
- Regional quaternary referral center in addition to busy established in-system referral base
- Work in conjunction with other subspecialists (Surgical Oncology Gynecologic Oncology Urogynecology and Urology).
- Call is 1:4

Qualifications
- Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery and Colon & Rectal Surgery
- Minimum 3 years post-fellowship clinical experience preferred
- Proven track record of academic achievement preferred
- Academic productivity and teaching experience preferred
- Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients
