Job Summary:
EO Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Electrical Engineer to support our advanced directed energy programs. This role is ideal for a hands-on systems-minded engineer who thrives in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and brings strong execution capabilities to the development integration and testing of complex laser and power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design analyze and troubleshoot high-voltage and high-current electrical systems used in directed energy platforms
Support the development of power distribution architectures control circuits and interface electronics for laser subsystems
Collaborate with systems optical mechanical and software teams to ensure electrical design aligns with performance and safety requirements
Participate in integration and validation testing of electrical systems both in lab environments and field settings
Assist in generating and reviewing technical documentation including schematics wiring diagrams test procedures and safety protocols
Lead root cause analyses for electrical anomalies and propose effective corrective actions
Support equipment procurement hardware integration and sustainment activities for electrical infrastructure
Ensure compliance with industry and program-specific safety and quality standards especially for high-voltage/high-power systems
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
3 years of experience designing or supporting high-voltage or high-power electrical systems
Proficiency with electrical CAD tools such as Altium or OrCAD
Strong working knowledge of electrical safety grounding and shielding practices in power electronics and military environments
Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes power analyzers and multimeters
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work across disciplines
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and cross-functional collaboration
U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for a DoD security clearance
Preferred:
Experience in directed energy laser systems or defense-grade power electronics
Experience with embedded systems or controls engineering is a plus
