JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a high quality and engaging instruction and academic mentoring to students; for developing assessing and assuring excellent pedagogy and curriculum design both within the discipline and in contributions to the Liberal Arts core program; for promoting student achievement and academic integrity on behalf of the University; and for collaboration with support services provided through units such as the Adawe Center and for collaboration with support services provided through campus units. Academic program development for program currency growth retention and recruitment.

JOB SUMMARY:The Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation Lab Coordinator is a 12-month faculty position responsible for the coordination and operation of the Nursing Skills and Simulation Labs. The coordinator collaborates with the BSN Program Director Clinical and Practicum Coordinator Nursing faculty and the Director of Nursing to ensure safe and effective use of the simulation lab and skills lab facilities and maintenance of OSHA standards with appropriate disposal of sharps and hazardous waste. The position provides expertise in lab and simulation integration methods and technologies and supports the evidence-based educational experiences for learners. The coordinator teaches prelicensure courses as designated by the BSN Program Director and the Director of Nursing with primary responsibility for the oversight of the Skills and Simulation labs and associated activities including equipment and supply utilization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: (education based on essential job duties and requirements consistent with business necessity):
Minimum BSN with MSN in process. MSN Degree preferred. Licensure: current license as Registered Nurse in Kansas and Missouri
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: (experience based on requirements in role and are consistent with business necessity)
3-5 years related work experience. Nursing Education preferred.
