Pay Range: $124100.00 - $186200.00 / year
Additional components of compensation may include:
Per Diem Staff will not be eligible to participate in any associate benefit plans sponsored by the Health System.
Paid Time Off: UW Health complies with The Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers (PLAW) Act which requires Illinois employers to provide employees with one hour of VAC PLAW time for every 40 hours worked.
At UW Health in northern Illinois you will have:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Serve patients by reviewing and evaluating physician orders; preparing dispensing and delivering medications. Counsel customers in the pharmacy in inpatient rooms and recipients of mail-order prescriptions via phone as necessary. Monitor patients drug regimens and intervene when appropriate to ensure optimal drug therapy. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives as well as Health System initiatives. Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians work flow. Provide drug information to the Health System staff patients and the community. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations. Capable of working independently. Ensure compliance with Health System state and federal policies guidelines and laws. Maintain records for controlled substances remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory. Be comfortable with giving immunizations and have immunization certification.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. At least two years of experience preferred. Completion of ASHP-accredited residency preferred.
Must provide copy of diploma/degree for highest level of education obtained.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current licensure from State of Illinois or license eligible.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Successful completion of annual clinical age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Good interpersonal organizational and critical decision-making skills required. Ability to use calculator and computer. Ability to effectively communicate and develop collaborative working relationships with patients medical staff and the public.
