Your impact in this position:

As Head of Development (m/f/d) you will be the driving force behind building and scaling a high-performing development team that drives innovation in one of the most exciting and challenging industries: making buildings smarter more sustainable and energy-efficient.

You will create an environment where developers can reach their full potential with clear structures modern technologies and a focus on technical excellence. At the same time youll ensure your team delivers quickly and reliably without compromising on scalability security or quality.

Your focus will be on building a strong team: recruiting developing and inspiring talent to create a sustainably growing organization. You will establish clear roles responsibilities and processes that enable your team to work efficiently and autonomously.

Together with the CTO and the product and engineering teams you will develop a roadmap that combines innovation and speed while leaving room for technological growth and long-term scalability. Your work will play a key role in transforming the real estate industry through smart technologies driving greater sustainability and efficiency.

What you bring along:
  • Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of experience leading and scaling technical teams ideally in dynamic and fast-growing tech environments.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of software and system architecture scalability and modern organizational approaches like domain-driven design and continuous delivery.

  • Team Building: A proven ability to build strong teams recruit top talent and foster a culture of ownership and excellence.

  • Soft Skills and Values: Excellent communication skills the ability to inspire teams and a knack for fostering trust and collaboration. With empathy and decisiveness you drive innovation while keeping the big picture in focus.

  • Strategic Thinking: A strong understanding of the interplay between organization technology and product enabling you to develop sustainable scalable solutions.

  • Language Skills: Strong English skills are essential as our tech teams primarily communicate in English. Good German skills are a plus and will help you navigate the local context.
