Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated organised and customer-focused individual to join New North Academy in the role of School Operations Manager.

New North is a vibrant and welcoming primary school in the heart of Islington. We boast fantastic facilities including an outdoor classroom purpose-built dance studio and sports and drama hallsequipped with professional sound and lighting. Our spacious light-filled building provides an ideal environment for both learning and working.

As a key member of the schools administrative support staff you will play a vital role in working with the Headteacher and senior leaders to shape a highly effective administrative function thatsupports staff pupils and parents alike.

Our ideal candidate will be naturally organised able to use their initiative and know when it is best to work collaboratively. Ideally you will already have experience using Google Drive and Google tools to best effect helping you quickly build confidence with other systems and applications required in the role. However support and training will be provided.

The job description outlines the key areas of responsibility for the School Operations Manager including office administration some HR administration premises and health & safety administration and ensuring that front-of-house services are professional and meet the needs of all visitors and parents.

The post holder will receive support and guidance from our Central Business Services team in all aspects of the role. Together we will ensure a highly organised administrative function focuses on the right areas at the right time enabling the Senior Leadership Team of New North Academy to focus on delivering excellent education to our pupils.

The role is a full-time on-site position with a contracted working pattern of 52 weeks per year and 36 hours per week. If applicable continuous service will follow you to this new position.
