Key Responsibilities
As the Outside Sales Representative you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
Business Development & Lead Generation:
o Prospect new clients through cold calling networking and leveraging referrals.
o Qualify accounts based on market potential and forecast future sales opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
o Regularly engage with clients to assess their needs and recommend tailored solutions.
o Promote new products value-added services and marketing initiatives to support their objectives.
Sales Planning & Strategy:
o Develop and execute sales and supplier engagement plans that support account growth and retention.
o Use CRM and sales management tools to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
Product & Industry Expertise:
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products services and industry trends.
o Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to deliver value-driven client solutions.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Marketing Business Engineering or a related field is preferred.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales preferably within the distribution or technical sales industries.
Technical Skills:
o Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal sales software.
o Capability to deliver engaging product presentations and understand technical specifications.
Key Competencies:
o Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
o Highly organized with a proactive mindset and the ability to manage travel and client schedules effectively.
o Knowledge of advertising and promotional techniques is a strong asset.
Travel: This role requires travel within the assigned territory (5075%) including overnight stays.
