Shift Mechanical Technician
An exciting opportunity has arisenfor an individual to join the Maintenance teamat Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working at our Thornton facility.
What youll be doing
As a Shift Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of the waste facility processing assets mechanical systems and general site infrastructure. Supporting both planned and reactive maintenance work related activities to ensure the optimal performance and condition of the waste facility.
What you will bring
To be successful in this position it is essential that you have completed a recognised apprenticeship or hold a qualification at ONC/HNC level in Mechanical Engineering.

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste andour people are vital in helping us achieve this.
Our employees work in a variety of operations maintenance logistics and support roles across our two sites in Leyland and Thornton actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes.
