Job Description
RN/Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role
- Location: Plano TX 75093
- Shift: 8-hr Day
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Deliver high-quality evidence-based nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Utilize advanced technology including ventilators ECMO and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and care transitions.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular and critical care nursing practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead coach and support a high-performing team
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems and standard hospital software
- Commitment to patient safety evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
- Education: Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years CVICU experience required
- Charge Nurse or leadership experience required (for supervisor role)
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License Texas State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
