Job Description
- Location: Waxahachie TX 75165
- Shift: 8 HR Days 07:00 AM 03:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Prepare and set up rooms with instruments equipment treatment trays and supplies as per department needs.
- Clean and disinfect instruments using approved solutions and procedures.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment following established guidelines.
- Manage inventory: order restock and distribute instruments and supplies for both general and surgical use.
- Adhere to strict safety environmental and infection control policies.
- Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and offering in-service training.
- Support training and mentorship of new Sterile Processing staff and entry-level positions.
- Proficient in sterilization techniques and equipment usage.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience (Required)
Certification:
- Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD)
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
