Job Description:
This position is responsible for adhering to documented procedures and work instructions associated with the proper decontamination of product returned for servicing as defined in the BDI/Dymax Quality Management System.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts decontamination of medical devices & accessories returned for servicing in accordance with procedure.
- Unpacks returned devices logs returned devices into the Service Management System (SMS) conducts required external wipe down of equipment & accessories.
- Confirms correct equipment was received and logged into system.
- Appropriately tags/labels returned devices.
- Execute proper handling of potentially contaminated equipment and chemicals required for decontamination.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Displays some mechanical and technical competence.
- Disassembles devices and/or accessories by written instruction.
- Completes appropriate section(s) of the work order in the Service Management System (SMS).
- Fosters continuous improvement in training and all other areas of team performance.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment preferred.
- Previous experience working with hazardous material/chemicals preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude background preferred.
- Basic Microsoft Office and data entry skills required.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work overtime is needed.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
