Job Description
At Brandback were on a mission to redefine shopping with AI. Founded by experienced operators and backed by top tier investors and angels from the retail industry we have gone from strength to strength since launching our product last year.
We are looking for a product-minded Full Stack Engineer focusing on AI to design and build the data infrastructure and pipelines that power our AI systems. You will be responsible for building AI systems such as agents and agentic workflows. You will build processes and structures for large-scale datasets from proprietary sources partnerships and publicly available data that power our agents. This role offers a unique opportunity to create AI systems that directly impact user experience.
Location: Berlin Germany office-first 4 days / week

Tasks
What you will be doing
- Developing effective and accurate AI agents and deploying them at scale
- Designing building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data
- Developing data models and storage solutions optimized for AI-driven applications
- Integrating diverse data sources (proprietary partner and public datasets) into a unified data platform
- Ensuring data quality reliability and governance implementing best practices for monitoring and validation
- Optimizing data workflows for performance and scalability leveraging GCP BigQuery and modern data stack
- Exploring how AI can enhance data collection processing and sanitation improving the efficiency of our pipelines

Requirements
Must have
- Experience with AI-driven data processing agents or automation. Showcased by completed projects (can be side-projects)
- Experience with deploying and monitoring AI models
- Proficiency with Python and SQL and data engineering tools
- Proven ability to leverage cloud-native tools (e.g. BigQuery Cloud Storage Pub/Sub or equivalents) to build reliable data-centric systems
- Knowledge of data modeling schema design and experience working with embeddings
- Experience handling large-scale data ingestion from varied sources
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills working across engineering and AI teams
Nice to have
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment.
- Familiarity with public data sources web scraping and data enrichment techniques
