Job Description
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager supports and guides the Material Handling Shipping and Receiving teams ensuring safe reliable and efficient operations.
This role oversees processes and work instructions related to receipt and storage of inbound materials handling of raw materials for production and storage and shipment of finished goods to customers. It also ensures accurate inventory management and strict adherence to safety training and other compliance standards.
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager collaborates cross-functionally drives continuous improvement and explores new technologies to enhance operational performance in support of our mission.
Starting Salary: $62000/yr to $75000/yr
Essential Job Function:
- Maintains a personnel structure and staffing levels to accomplish Material Handling Shipping and Receiving team responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire.
- Coordinate with respective teams to ensure assigned inventory cycle counts are completed and accurate records are maintained.
- Oversee management of the receiving warehousing and shipment of materials and finished goods.
- Support our Material Handling Shipping and Receiving teams in a manner consistent with our values. This requires active leadership and vigilance in affording our employees a safe fair and learning environment.
- Coordinates schedules and priorities. Review and follow-up with personnel on timecard issues.
- Plans training monitors and evaluates performance of personnel.
- Documents annual performance reviews. Counsels and coaches as necessary to support development.
- Monitors equipment performance and needs to maintain safe environment and effective processes. Researches and keeps pace with modern material handling and warehousing equipment to maintain performance safety reliability and cost expectations of the Company.
- Encourages and oversees safe handling transport and storage of materials. Ensures personnel are properly trained to operate equipment and perform specialized procedures.
- Monitors receiving and shipping processes and work instructions for sufficiency. Investigates issues and monitor adherence by receiving personnel. Reviews data entry as necessary for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensures materials are staged in accordance with work instructions. Reviews data entry as necessary for accuracy and completeness.
- Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices packing slips and receiving documents. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to accounts payable for timely data entry.
- Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient effective and safe manner.
- Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
- Responsible for management and review of slow-moving inventory as requested.
- Reviews suspect or contaminated materials placed in bonding with Material Handling team and supports timely decision whether to sort s or sample.
- Follow all safety guidelines and rules

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma
- 3 years manufacturing experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- B.S. or B.A. degree in business management industrial management or related field.
- Experience with plastic materials management
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- 3 years of experience in warehousing receiving inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment
Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages all employees of the Material Handling Shipping and Receiving areas and is responsible for the individual and collective performance of employees within that area.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Exempt full-time
