The IT Dispatch Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for end-user devices focusing on laptop provisioning maintenance and logistics. This role involves installing Windows 10 generating hash files wiping laptops diagnosing and repairing hardware/software issues and managing device pick-up and delivery. The engineer will also handle peripheral procurement receive devices into the warehouse and perform imaging tasks to ensure operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Windows 10 Installation & Hash File Generation: Install and configure Windows 10 on laptops ensuring compliance with organizational standards and Generate and verify hash files for installed operating systems to ensure integrity and security.
Laptop Wiping: Securely wipe laptops using approved tools and methods to remove all data before redeployment or disposal and Ensure compliance with data security policies and regulations.
Device Pick-Up and Delivery: Coordinate and execute the pick-up of laptops from users at designated locations and Deliver configured and repaired laptops to end-users promptly and professionally.
Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues on laptops and Perform repairs or escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
Peripheral Procurement:
Occasionally purchase IT peripherals (e.g. keyboards mice cables) based on user or departmental requirements and Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
Warehouse Receiving & Imaging: Receive incoming devices into the warehouse verifying condition and specifications and Image laptops with standardized operating systems and software configurations.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of device assignments repairs and inventory movements and Provide regular updates to the IT Manager on task progress and issues.

Experience:
1-2 years of experience in IT support desktop engineering or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with Windows 10 installation configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with secure data wiping tools (e.g. DBAN CCleaner) and hash file generation.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing laptop hardware and software issues.
