The EHS Supervisor will champion a robust safety culture and drive employee engagement across 2 sites to achieve enhanced safety performance and cultivate a zero-tolerance approach to incidents. This role requires a collaborative and proactive individual who can partner effectively with all functions adapt to the dynamic manufacturing environment and own the development and delivery of a best-in-class safety training program and culture. The EHS Supervisor will ensure compliance with customer standards and all relevant Environmental/Health & Safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Environment Health and Safety
Cultivate a proactive and adaptable safety culture across all functions within a large growing manufacturing organization.
Collaboratively organize and manage EHS functions across sites to create and maintain effective accident prevention programs.
Develop and deliver environmental health and safety education and training to meet regulatory and business needs.
Lead incident investigations (releases injuries near-misses) and implement High-Value Learnings.
Manage Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and PPE compliance.
Maintain site compliance records for permits and review regulatory changes.
Oversee the safety program to ensure compliance with corporate audit protocols.
Identify and assess hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control measures and programs.
Proactively manage a contractor safety program to enforce corporate EHS standards.
Manage industrial hygiene programs including coordinating periodic monitoring of noise air quality and other IH factors.
Analyze plant incident statistics and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct periodic risk assessments of plant machinery equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance with safety and sanitary standards and regulations.
Advise support and audit front-line leadership on effective EHS implementation.
Maintain relationships with Regulatory Agencies and chair or co-chair and lead Safety Committees.
Support the development and maintenance of Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.
Qualifications :
Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety Chemical Mechanical Environmental Engineering/ Science or a related field.
5 years of experience in a similar EHS or H&S role within a manufacturing environment.
Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP CIH CHMM QEP CEA REM etc.) will be considered in plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements policies procedures and programs with strong focus on the Netherlands.
Proven experience with life safety codes EHS rules HAZOP training principles of occupational safety and health and Process Safety Management.
Demonstrated success in leading efficient and effective compliance programs.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in Dutch and English.
Willingness to travel.
Experience in multi-site management.
