Job Summary
The position of Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating inventory placement in the warehouse monitoring inventory levels shipping and receiving of customer products on-time assurance of safety compliance and assisting with general building operational needs.
Essential Duties
The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor and should not be considered an all-inclusive list:
- Develops maintains and monitorsdepartments leadership innovation solution and culture.
- Acts as subject matter expert on alldaily job tasks performed by theLogistics/Warehouse for growing team knowledge in ordertoeffectively manage personnel risk to the organization.
- Assists in preparingdepartments annual budget.
- Streamlinesprocesses and proceduresbyworking cooperativelywith team members.
- Monitors department attendance and processes vacation and paid time off (PTO) requests.
- Schedules prepares and conductsperformance reviews.
- Ensures that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed by all team members.
- Managescross department problems including issue escalation and resolution as needed.
- Prepares and conducts meetings with team members and creates a culture where members can share their voice their concerns and provide a forum for continuous improvement.
- Accurately prepares tracks and files shipping documentation.
- Follows through and resolves any shipping related transportation issues that arise.
- Ensures system entries are properly made and follows through making corrections to any incorrect entries ensuring complete accuracy in Flairs company approved software system.
- Ensures accurate completion of inventory counts and oversees the facilities inventory counts are within the KPI metrics established.
- Completes tasks such as receiving loading unloading sorting picking stocking staging and transportation of goods.
- Packs product on pallets and secures with protective materials such as strapping cardboard corner posts and stretch wrap to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Loads and unloads materials to and from designated storage area such as racks shelves or vehicles. Stacks or stocks materials such as pouches rolls or pallets.
- Ensures that the facility grounds are properly maintained including grass cuttings outside plants are maintained and the grounds are kept clean.
- Performs the required quarterly inspections of the sprinkler system and keeps records of activities
Safety Responsibilities
All Flair employees are required to be an active safety participant at Flair by:
- Attending required safety training sessions
- Reporting any accidents near misses and safety concerns to a designated safety team leader in a timely manner
- Following the Companys work safety rules and procedures.
Food Safety Responsibilities
Employees shall maintain a good understanding of Flairs food safety policies GMP regulatory requirements and HACCP principles reflecting industry best practices FSSC 22000 certification scheme and relevant CTPAT minimum security criteria.
Employees shall report food safety non-conformities to the responsible person(s). Responsible personnel shall have defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions.
Required Training Experience Licenses and Certifications
In addition to performing satisfactorily all of the duties and responsibilities of the position an individual in this position must possess and maintain the following knowledge skills qualifications and/or abilities:
- Associates Degree in a related field preferred or an equivalent of 5 years of logistics/warehouse experience.
- 3-4 years of prior Supervisory experience preferred.
- Prior Forklift certification required (with stand up sit down and reach forklift trucks).
- Prior use of hand pallet jack required.
- Must be able to speak read write and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform job functions.
