Therapy Services
Work hours: Full-time 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM; Weekend On-Call Requirement Once a quarter (every 3 months) for 2-hours to do stroke evaluations; Holiday rotation is rare - 1 holiday every 3rd year.

Supportive team of over 40 Occupational Therapists in an acute care trauma hospital focus on inpatient.
Heres What You Need
Bachelors Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program Required.
No Experience required new grads are welcome!
Prefer experience with adult population acute care hospital-based inpatient experience.
OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire Required And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.
Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do
Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
Educates patient and family through instruction demonstration and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan safety issues home
programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
Documents all aspects of assessment plan of care and re-certifications in accordance with departmental TJC Medicare and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
Works in partnership with peers other disciplines and departmental personnel
Focus on Daily Living Skills Mobility and Cognition of patients.
