This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of primary education and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs including those requiring personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provideone-to-one and small group support particularly for pupils with SEND.
- Assist withdaily classroom activities preparation of learning resources and supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Promotepositive behaviour and emotional well-being helping children to access learning in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Support children withpersonal care and mobility ensuring dignity and safeguarding at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues parents and outside agencies to promote pupil development.
- Contribute to maintaining astimulating and well-organised classroomsetting.
Essential Requirements:
- Teaching Assistant Qualification(or equivalent).
- Recent experience working within a primary school setting ideally supporting children with SEND.
- Comfortable withpersonal care responsibilities(cleaning and changing where necessary).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils staff and families.
- A nurturing resilient and proactive attitude.
- Commitment to promotingequality diversity and inclusionin all aspects of school life.
