A welcoming and supportive primary school inWashingtonis seeking aTeaching Assistantto join their dedicated team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of primary education and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs including those requiring personal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provideone-to-one and small group support particularly for pupils with SEND.
• Assist withdaily classroom activities preparation of learning resources and supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Promotepositive behaviour and emotional well-being helping children to access learning in a safe and inclusive environment.
• Support children withpersonal care and mobility ensuring dignity and safeguarding at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues parents and outside agencies to promote pupil development.
• Contribute to maintaining astimulating and well-organised classroomsetting.

Essential Requirements:

• Teaching Assistant Qualification(or equivalent).
• Recent experience working within a primary school setting ideally supporting children with SEND.
• Comfortable withpersonal care responsibilities(cleaning and changing where necessary).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils staff and families.
• A nurturing resilient and proactive attitude.
• Commitment to promotingequality diversity and inclusionin all aspects of school life.
