Job Description

WHAT YOU DO

Tasks and Duties

  • Receive documents
  • Prepare customs entries in Customsware or other customs software or through a 3rd party.
  • Understand the elements of the Import & Export customs SOP
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operating systems
  • Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments
  • Monitor customs clearances and communicate with customers
  • Coordinate trucking (FCL/LTL) for both air and ocean import and export operations and distribution
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing in accordance with company and customer requirements

Physical Demands

  • Use of standard office equipment computer with keyboard and mouse phone copy/scan machine etc.
  • Write with pencil/pen/marker
  • Functions performed primarily while seated at desk

Product Agent Job-Specific Performance Expectations

  • Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing: Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to operational procedures and customer SOPs.
  • Timely and Accurate Data Entry: Maintains data integrity in operational systems and resolves exceptions promptly.
  • Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting: Invoices customers accurately and provisions service provider charges correctly following credit approval processes.

 


Qualifications :

  • Global logistics industry knowledge
  • Good computer skills (e.g. MS Excel MS Word)
  • Fluent in English
