Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sr. Associate Operational excellence will lead events teach and coach to support the improvement of performance of the will focus on coaching functional leaders leading Kaizen events and teaching lean and six sigma tools to contribute to continuous improvement of the operation. The role will support IMEx Deployment & Maturity and provide post-deployment support.

You will work with cross functional teams to identify and execute improvement projects. Your organizational skills will help us integrate our continuous improvement programs across the organization both vertically and horizontally. Your knowledge will ensure that the improvement programs yield results and strengthen the overall business strategies. You will work as a coach and a facilitator for improvement projects and a variety of trainings to develop the Operational Excellence capability within the Focus Factory. As an Operational Excellence Sr. Associate you will support the Focus Factory improvements by coaching and applying lean tools and living the IMEx elements. You will work closely with functional leaders and project leads to ensure that OpEx projects drive to improvements and data driven decisions. Through your domain knowledge and commitment you will create a collaborative team environment for your colleagues.

This position will report to the Operational Excellence Lead within the Focus Factory.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach functional leaders on leading in an OpEx environment problem-solving Leading tier meetings performing GEMBA walks coaching and problem-solving activities.

  • Lead Continuous Improvement Events including but not limited to Method 1 (Yellow Belt) Method 2 (Green Belt) Method 3 (Black Belt) events Value Stream Mapping.

  • Facilitate Pfizer Coaching and Supportive Leadership Training.

  • Teach and coach Pfizers M1 Program Yellow Belt through certification.

  • Support IMEx design into Focus Factory model.

  • Apply and teach lean tools.

  • Perform capacity analysis material flow standard adjustments and maintain standards.

  • Develop materials to train and to execute IMEx principles.

  • Support change management and guidance to support area colleagues.

  • Coach site colleagues on the IMEx Elements ensuring a thorough understanding and application of all Standards.

  • Provide post-deployment support of IMEx PCTs through Coaching Structured GEMBA and Health/Maturity Checks.

  • Support development of colleagues in IMEx and OpEx principles.

  • Sring together cross-disciplinary teams when working on complex problems or pursuing business opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a masters degree with more than 0 years of experience; OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Relevant education and experience in continuous improvement and lean methodologies.

  • Experience in leading Continuous Improvement Events and change management.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.

  • Understanding of IMEx and OpEx principles.

  • Green belt certification.

  • Experience in regulated/GMP environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Black Belt certification

  • teaching and coaching Pfizers M1 Program and supporting change management

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills

  • Strong project management skills

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lead and coach colleagues perform data analysis and participate in continuous improvement events.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

May require travel to different sites for GEMBA walks and continuous improvement events.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80300.00 to $133900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
