Job Description:

Hitachi Energy located in Alamo TN is seeking a Weekend Electro Mechanical Repair Technician to join its team. In this position you will follow safety and work procedures to perform preventative maintenance routine mechanical and/or electrical repairs on production and processing equipment.

The selected candidate will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and replace electrical and/or mechanical components as necessary to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture.

How Youll Make a Difference:

  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Install troubleshoot repair and maintain production machines and plant equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and make recommendations to PM program
  • Run conduit and pull wire for new machines and equipment.
  • Must be able to read/follow blueprints wiring diagrams schematic drawings and technical manuals
  • Working knowledge of 115 & 480V equipment how to safely troubleshoot diagnose and repair
  • Troubleshoot/repair systems or equipment such as hydraulic systems transformers motors DC circuitry PLCs variable frequency drives relays switches position sensing devices and printed circuit boards
  • Monitor and document observations settings readings meters gauges as required
  • Proficient in using common electrical/mechanical devices. Ex. multi-meter amp-probe megger calipers micrometers dial indicator
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
  • Basic welding and cutting including acetylene torch plasma stick and brazing
  • Secure and complete required department work order documentation
  • Responsible for housekeeping in his/her work area and general surroundings
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Your Background:

Associates degree in an engineering discipline or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate from an accredited trade school.
