Job Description
The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a comprehensive liberal arts education NAIA athletics and an appreciation for and commitment to the HBCU Athletic Conference and institutional culture. Along with coaching the candidate will be assigned responsibilities in the Department of Athletics. The candidate will have experience creating campus and community support for the Womens Basketball program and their athletes and continue to build upon the tradition of competitive athletic programs. They will possess the ability to effectively communicate with a range of constituents and contribute to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Recruitment and retention of student-athletics who can be successful in an athletically and academically rigorous environment.
2. Ability to develop the skills of athletes
3. Create a competitive schedule within budget parameters
4. Actively participate in fundraising strategies oversee and balance the teams annual operating budget.
5. Written and verbal communication skills are important along with a deep understanding of supporting the whole student.
Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree 2. College Coaching experience 3. Demonstrated ability to recruit academically and athletically successful student-athletes 4.
