We are looking for a seasoned Chief Accountant to join our Athens team! This is a key role requiring extensive finance expertise and a strong track record in driving strategic initiatives.

The Chief Accountant will oversee and manage all accounting operations ensuring compliance with local & international standards tax regulations and internal policies. This role is crucial in financial reporting budget planning and audit coordination ensuring the financial health and efficiency of Diaverum Hellas and .
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations as well as internal policies is a critical part of the role. This position leads the month-end and year-end closing processes while developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Collaboration with the Financial Controller on monthly reporting budget preparation and forecasting is essential. Additionally the Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the Transfer Pricing Policy and coordinating internal and external audits providing all necessary documentation. Supervising and mentoring a team of two is also a key responsibility.
ABOUT YOU :
You must have a degree in Accounting Finance or a related field with a Masters degree or ACCA certification considered a plus. An A Class Accountant certification is required along with proven corporate accounting experience. A deep understanding of local accounting tax and regulatory requirements is essential.
You also need proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems as well as fluency in both Greek and English. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills a high level of integrity and great attention to detail.
You should have 8-10 years of experience in accounting.
