Job Description

Oversee safety support for infrastructure programs offering expert advice on strategic objectives risk mitigation injury prevention regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety. What Youll Do
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders ensuring successful delivery and exceeding expectations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance business practices using insights and benchmarking to identify and implement improvements.
- Continuously challenge and refine work practices for better quality and efficiency leveraging performance data for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with legislation codes of practice and safety systems; coach teams and promote a safety culture.
- Participate in risk assessments review safety documentation and monitor safety management systems to ensure effectiveness.
- Conduct inspections and support safety investigations tracking actions and communicating findings to improve safety practices.
Your experience and qualifications:
- You have a solid understanding of contract safety management and experience with heavy construction and large capital works projects.
- You possess high-level interpersonal skills including team building relationship management and conflict resolution.
- You model influence and encourage positive behaviours with highly developed negotiation presentation and communication skills.
- You have strong investigative analytical planning and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments and foster cross-departmental networking.
- You are adaptable and open to change with a high level of self-awareness and self-management.
- You possess a working knowledge of the WHS Act WHS Regulations associated Codes of Practice and Australian Standards demonstrating a results-oriented approach and hands-on management of WHS.
- Youre an Australian CitizenorPermanent Resident at time of application.
