Job Summary
As Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for leading a team of 4 to deliver financial assurance activities for the many suppliers active on CCS commercial agreements. This role will also deputise for the Head of Commercial Finance.
Your team will develop and deliver a structured high quality supplier financial risk analysis service line to support ongoing commercial agreement management. You will provide real time support and guidance act as a trusted adviser and contribute to the CCS customer value proposition. You will be required to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise a varied workload whilst maintaining a focus on detail and accuracy.

Finance Planning and Performance oversees our financial reporting develops budgets and projections formulates business plans tracks implementation progress measures success metrics and manages corporate risk.
Team Summary
This fantastic and rare opportunity within the Commercial Finance Team which supports CCS to manage financial risk for over 10000 suppliers. Our team really makes a difference working with procurement operations to deliver commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with financial stability policy and delivering value for our customers through performing financial risk assurance activities as part of CCS supplier relationship management.
Responsibilities
lead and guide team members manage performance to ensure a high-performing team and support staff development through regular feedback
Deputy team lead for Commercial Finance engage and influence senior stakeholder within CCS
Lead the post-award assurance team to deliver a proactive assurance service line provide instruction and development to direct reports
Oversee the creation of risk evaluation reports by reviewing financial information applying financial ratios and providing concise conclusions
Act as a trusted partner to commercial teams to manage emerging risk and agree contractual remedies
Input to the commercial finance systems and reporting enabling timely high quality reports to Procurement Operations and Category teams
Identify and lead on initiatives to develop the commercial Finance service offering
Engage with Cabinet Office and other departments to share best practice and contribute to cross government risk management
Communicate financial reports processes and financial risk guidance in a simple easy to understand manner
Essential Criteria (to be assessed at application stage
Ability to deliver to strict deadlines and to work under pressure
Ability to interpret financial information to identify financial risk and make critical contractual recommendations
Experience of working with multiple stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge
Professional accounting qualification (minimum level of Part Qualified - ICAEW or equivalent)
Team leadership experience
Desirable Criteria
Working knowledge of Government Playbooks and the Economic and Financial Stability policy

Working flexibly delivering outcomes
CCS is a flexible business with a smarter working model where our colleagues benefit from a mix of home and office working. Successful candidates are expected to work from one of the office locations listed. Our current office attendance approach requires a minimum of 26 days per quarter (approx 2 days per week which may be subject to change) in CCS office locations or off site meetings with suppliers customers partners networking / industry events.
